Reiki Precepts (version II)

In my training with Reiki, we were shown the precepts created by the gakkai founded by Mikao Usui. They are usually translated like this:
Just for today, do not worry
Just for today, do not anger
Honor your parents and teachers and elders
Earn your living honestly
Show gratitude to every living thing
I tried for years to recite them with my heart, but could not fully embrace them. I think it was partially the negative construction.
So, I decided to re-write them. Lest anyone complain of sacrilege (feel free to do so, by the way), I feel a certain amount of freedom since it is a translation. Besides, we have to do what works for our own being. Only then will it resonate and allow total personal and interpersonal healing.
So here's my take.
In this moment
I choose to live in right relationship
joyfully
trusting the universe
grateful
and compassionate to every being

Nicely done, you have made it your own!
Thanks, Richard! May we each make the world our own.
