Full Moon Fire Poem

I was asked to read a poem for last night's full moon fire. So I wrote this one and decided that rather than just read it, I'd do my first ever performance piece.
I've read at poetry festivals and readings, but I've always played it straight, trying hard to avoid the dreaded poet voice and intonation.
But for this one, I decided to drum along with it (after all, it is for a drumming celebration) and I had just purchased a little double-ended drum of the East Indian type I've seen at kirtans. I don't know the name, sorry, but it's a fun little piece of wonderment.
So, for those brave souls who are willing to download an MP3 (3.5 MB... and 7.5 minutes), click here to listen to it. It isn't perfect, but it is heartfelt.
enjoy and let me know your thoughts and reactions.
