I've just read about this treatment to return the Atlas (C1) vertebrae to its rightful position.
On the official website, this vert. is hailed as the one that holds our (for some of us, anyway) thick skull upright, and a misalignment, which often happens during infancy before the guide bones are hardened, diminishes the size of the shaft through which all of our nerves and energy meridians flow from our brain to the body to the brain (repeat). Misalignment is also responsible for many physical causes, and has been implicated (and seemingly, alleviated after correction) fibromyalgia and cystic fibrosis. I certainly don't wish to spread any false info, and I can't speak to those.
Likewise, many of the testimonials I've seen on various sites (non-official) have been extremely positive and have talked about exceptional spiritual freedom or increased flow after getting realigned. So, I'm very curious.
There are a few practitioners in the US who are trained and one happens to be in my town (SLC), so look around. They tend to travel now, visiting other cities as they are asked to (or sponsored). Training has to be done in Switzerland, poor dears, and so practitioners are more prevalent in Europe.
Cost seems to be fairly standard: $250 for a treatment; the good news is that one treatment is enough and "permanent" providing you don't get into an accident or experience trauma that might cause it to pop out. Otherwise, two bones tend to hold it in place fairly tightly.
The treatment is not an adjustment, chiropractically speaking. But consists of a massage and the use of a vibrating thing that gently relaxes the muscles and guides it back into place. Everything I've heard leads to it being painless.
Some reactions, however, may occur if one has been suppressing emotions within your body or not fully healed from some experience. It has to flow up again, get processed, and then it will leave. Some tiredness as your body readjusts has also been said.
Being the experiential guy that I am, I'm scheduling an appointment for 2 weeks from now. I'll let you know my experience.
If you've had it done, please let me know yours, good or bad.

Just had it done. Painless and pretty cool. Read about it here.
